Policies

Important Notes:

- All appointments booked are for the client only. No one else (spouse, children, friend, or pets) allowed.
- Melanin Locz accepts Cash, Credit and Debit Cards. Gratuities are appreciated.
- It is recommended to make your NEXT appointment at the time of current service.

❗️If you have been sick or near anyone who has been sick in the last 5 days, PLEASE reschedule your appointment. If any sign of sickness is present durning appointment you will be asked to leave.

🚫 When arriving to your appointment please remain in your vehicle. Your temperature will be checked at your vehicle.

Consultant has the right to deny services if the condition of the hair is unhealthy/damaged to the point of no repair, excessive loc count, and or excessively grown out. All are case by case bases and at the discretion of the consultant.

Consultations / Establishments:

- Consultations are $50 (non-refundable).
- Consultation quotes are good for 45 days from the day of consultation, after 45 days new consult is required.
- Transfer client consultations are $40 (non-refundable).
- A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to secure ALL Establishments / Installs.
- Sisterlocks: Follow-up appointments must be made within 4-5 weeks of establishment or full price will be charged for maintenance.
- Establishments date changes within 30 calendar days of your appointment will require a new deposit ($250). Your allowed one date change prior to the 30 day window, all other changes will require a new deposit.

Consultation and Deposit fees will be deducted from your full quoted establishment / installation price if you decide to move forward, unless otherwise stated.

Child Safety Policy:

Parent & Child Cliental: After first appointment children can be left at their appointment alone. The guardian will be contacted within a 30 minute window of completion. We kindly ask you to arrive promptly to ensure the next client can be seen timely. After first offense you will be asked to stay with your child for the duration of appointment.

Appointment Cancellation Policy:

You are able to cancel or change your own appointment up to 24 hours prior at no charge.

Appointments canceled or rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged 50% of your original services.

No Call / No Show:

Non-cancellation and no-shows will be charged 100% of your original service fee. After the second offense all future appointments will require prepayment. After the third offense you will be released as a client.

Late Policy:

Clients who are more than 15 minutes late will have a $15 late fee added to their service if their appointment is kept. Additionally, if your time runs into another clients, at the consultant’s discretion, your appointment can be rescheduled. A rescheduling fee of $50 will need to be paid prior to next appointment.
